David Bromley, President
David is the Executive Director of Big Picture Philadelphia, a not-for-profit organization providing transformative education experiences for high school youth in Philadelphia. Big Picture Philadelphia has overseen the start-up and development of El Centro de Estudiantes, an alternative high school in Kensignton for students who are over-aged, under-credited and have dropped out or been kicked out of Philadelphia Public schools.
Prior to founding Big Picture Philadelphia, David was the co-founder of MetWest High School, the Big Picture school in Oakland, CA and more recently, served as a Big Picture coach to MetEast High School, located in Camden New Jersey. Before coming to Big Picture, David co-founded the Assocation of National Scholastic Excellence and Reform in Santa Monica, CA, a not-for-profit corporation desinged to foster a greater awareness of and commitment to public schools. David also worked as a social studies teacher at Jefferson Hihg School in South Central, Los Angeles and as the Program Coordinator for Each One-Reach One, Los Angeles Unified School District's student mentoring program. David holds a Masters Degree in education from Peppperdine University in Los Angeles.
Lisa Pack, Treasurer
Lisa pack is a fourth and fifth-grade teacher at Philadelphia's Project Learn School, where she is also an educational coordinator responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum for all areas of study. She is a lead teacher, with governance responsibilities for overall school functioning.
Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, Lisa took a second and third-grade teaching position at the Oaklane Day School before landing seven years later at her current school, Project Learn. She has more than 30 years of experience in education, and has participated in a variety of professional development programs from the Penn Literacy program.
Sarah Goncher, Secretary
Sarah Goncher is a staff attorney with the Disabilties Law Program at Communicty Legal Aid Society, Inc in Delaware. Sarah is also admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Sarah's work focuses on special education law and mental health law. Prior to law school, Sarah worked in Washington, D.C. at the National Women's Law Center and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
Sarah received her B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park and her J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University. While at Villanova, Sarah received a Public Interest Scholarship in recognition of her commitment to public service. Sarah has also been awarded the Roxana C. Arsht Fellowship by the Women in the Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association in support of her continued dedication to public service.
